First long-term smart contract signed for offshore maintenance

Aker BP and Framo have entered into a long-term contract for seawater lift pumps where compensation is directly linked to facility uptime. This is an important step in the modernization of the Norwegian shelf.

Maersk Drilling has secured a two-well contract extension from Aker BP for the ultra-harsh environment, low-emission jack-up rig Maersk Integrator. In direct continuation of the rig’s current workscope, Maersk Integrator will move to the Ivar Aasen field offshore Norway to drill two wells, with work expected to commence in October 2020.

The first successful “Single-Trip Multi-Frac” campaign has been executed on the Valhall field. This specific method of well stimulation has never been done offshore before.

Aker BP have selected Optime Subsea as a provider of well access system and -services on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) for the next 2 years, with extension options. The well access system that is part of the long term contract is Optime Subsea’s cost efficient and innovative "Subsea Controls and Intervention Light System" (SCILS).
