Rosneft has completed the acquisition of seismic data on the East-Siberian-1 block in the offshore area of the East-Siberian Sea

The survey was conducted from Orient Explorer, a specialised scientific research vessel.

The company carried out seismic data survey independently, the amount of 2D works totalled 2,000 kilometres.

Despite extremely severe ice conditions this year, all works were carried out to full extent and ahead of terms of the licensed liabilities schedule.

The project implemented by Rosneft's subsidiary RN-Shelf-Far East.

 

Geologic data acquisition in the East-Siberian Sea was carried out in line with all the regulations of the Russian Federation environmental legislation. Together with already conventional programs of ecologic monitoring and manufacturing supervision, an ice expert was present at the vessel during works, to control ice conditions and prevent risks of ice hazards.
