Rosneft has announced the completion of its geological survey programme on the company's offshore licence areas for 2014

The survey covered 24 licence areas. Seismic performance results included 31,503 line kilometres of 2D seismic, and 12,939 square kilometres of 3D seismic. The scope of airborne gravity magnetic survey totalled 225,006 line kilometres and electrical survey of 1,300 line kilometres.

Results of the studies will determine the further direction of the offshore hydrocarbon exploration activity.

In 2014, Rosneft drilled two appraisal wells and one exploration well.

The company conducted engineering-geological studies to drill wells on four sites. The company also claims to have completed four geological expeditions.

Rosneft is executing the geological survey programme in compliance with the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation and licence agreements.

Rosneft is the largest licence holder of Russian shelf.

The company conducts its activities in 50 continental shelf areas of the Russian Federation. Rosneft's equity recoverable reserves of the discovered fields total 241.6 million tons of oil and condensate, and 263 billion cubic metres of gas. According to Rosneft, the offshore areas have resource base of 46.1 billion tons of oil equivalent.
