Rosneft has launched its pilot operation at the Severo-Danilovskoe field located within the Danilovsky licence area in the north of the Irkutsk Region
The Severo-Danilovskoe field was discovered by Rosneft in 2011 as the result of exploratory drilling

The field is operated by public joint-stock company Verkhnechonskneftegaz, part of the Rosneft Group. The pilot operation phase will last three years during which three wells will be flow-tested.

At the pilot operation phase, potentially possible field production volumes will be determined. The wells drilled at the Severo-Danilovskoe field in 2012-2014 currently experience commercial flow oil of up to 216 tons a day.

The Severo-Danilovskoe field was discovered by Rosneft in 2011 as the result of exploratory drilling. As of January 1, 2015, the field reserves exceed 75 million tons of oil and 35 billion cubic metres of gas.

Verkhnechonskneftegaz, part of Rosneft Group, operates the Verkhnechonskoe oil and gas condensate field in the Katangsky District of the Irkutsk Region. Also, VCNG is the operator of seven of Rosneft's licence areas in the Irkutsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, including the Danilovsky licence.
