Oil Search extends Cape’s service contract three years in Papua New Guinea

Cape has announced that it has been awarded a contract extension to its Onshore General Services Agreement with Oil Search regarding projects in Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Oil Search Limited is an oil and gas exploration and development company that has been operating in Papua New Guinea since 1929

The contract covers a range of services including supervision, access solutions, protective coating, insulation, trade assistance, general tools and equipment rental.

The contract will last for three years to the end of 2016.

"Securing this contract extension is seen as a major achievement, and signifies our long term goals to further expand our on-going operations in PNG,” said Mike Harding, Cape director for Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam and PNG. “We look forward to working closely with Oil Search on this contract extension and supporting them in continuing to deliver on time and safely.”

Cape Papua New Guinea (PNG) Ltd has developed a close relationship with Oil Search and has been providing general services for over two years maintaining their current onshore assets and facilities.

Oil Search Limited is an oil and gas exploration and development company that has been operating in Papua New Guinea since 1929.

Most of the company’s assets are located in Papua New Guinea, where it holds an extensive spread of oil and gas production and exploration licences.
