Cosco to construct FAU and module carrier in contracts worth USD 230m

The board of directors of Cosco Corporation (Singapore) Limited has announced that shipyards, which are subsidiaries of the company’s 51 per cent owned subsidiary Cosco Shipyard Group Co, Ltd, have secured contracts valued at approximately USD 230m to build a floating accommodation unit (FAU) and a module carrier

The buyer has also secured options for five additional FAUs

Cosco (Qidong) Offshore has received a contract from a Singapore entity to build an FAU scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2017.

The buyer has also secured options for five additional FAUs.

Cosco (Dalian) Shipyard also received a contract under the first option cited in the announcement dated 12 September 2013 to build one 21,000dwt module carrier for a European company that has now been rendered effective.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2Q2016.
