Cape will supply a range of different services to six BP assets in the North Sea, including its 100 per cent owned Forties Pipeline System.

Supplying scaffolding, industrial cleaning, insulation and fire protection facilities to oil and gas operators, the contract would secure around 500 jobs for Cape which recently won a five-year contract from Exxon Mobil Corp.

Joe Oatley, chief executive, Cape plc: “We are delighted to be awarded this further contract by BP, which will allow us to continue to invest in our people through our apprentice, intern and graduate programmes. Cape has a longstanding relationship with BP and we look forward to continuing to work with this important client to deliver our critical industrial services across their assets in the North Sea”.
