BP has reported a profit for the third quarter of 2016 of USD933 million on an underlying replacement cost basis. This compares to USD720 million profit for the previous quarter and USD1.8 billion for the third quarter of 2015.

BP has announced the appointment of Lamar McKay to the new position of Deputy Group Chief Executive. McKay, currently chief executive of BP’s Upstream segment and a 35-year veteran of BP, will be based in London and take up the role following a suitable handover period.
Leading global drilling and engineering contractor, KCA Deutag, today announces that it has been awarded two contracts with BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited (“BP”).
BP Egypt has announced the completion of its acquisition of 22.75 per cent in the North Alexandria Concession and 2.75 per cent in the West Mediterranean Deep Water Concession from Hamburg-based DEA Deutsche Erdoel.
BP today announced that it has signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with the Egyptian Minister of Petroleum, His Excellency Eng. Tarek El Molla, regarding the acceleration of the development of the recent Atoll gas discovery. The Atoll discovery (BP 100%) in the North Damietta Offshore Concession in the East Nile Delta, offshore Egypt was announced in March 2015.

A major milestone has been reached in Babcock’s delivery of 73 subsea structures for BP’s Quad 204 offshore redevelopment project, 130km west of Shetland, forming an integral part of the major investment in the upgrading and replacement of the subsea facilities to enable the full development of the reserves.

BP and its co-venturers, ConocoPhillips, Chevron and Shell, have confirmed the safe installation of the new Clair Ridge platform’s quarters and utilities (QU) topside modules, a major milestone in the Clair Ridge project.
