Maire Tecnimont has signed an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract with Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) for the execution of the Phase III of Al Dabbi’iya Surface Facilities, in Abu Dhabi, UAE
The contract will encompass the engineering, procurement and construction of the gathering crude oil system through a network of pipelines, the central process plant (CPP), and oil and gas export pipelines

“It is an honour to further strengthen a long lasting relationship with such a prestigious client like ADNOC Group, widening this fruitful relation by working for ADCO, one of the leading players in the industry,” said Pierroberto Folgiero, Maire Tecnimont chief executive officer.

“We are eager to contribute to the development of UAE’s industrial sector once again, as we have been doing for a very long time in the region.”

The overall project is valued at around USD 2.254bn.

ADCO is part of the ADNOC Group of companies, one of the world’s largest oil companies, and operates the Al Dabb’iya field, located 40-kilometres southwest of Abu Dhabi.

Al Dabbi’iya Phase III is part of the ADCO North East Bab (NEB) development programme.

The current project’s scope of work consists of EPC activities for the expansion of the existing facility.

The contract will encompass the engineering, procurement and construction of the gathering crude oil system through a network of pipelines, the central process plant (CPP), and oil and gas export pipelines.

For its magnitude and technical standing, Maire Tecnimont considers this its flagship project in terms of oil and gas business experience, following the successful completion of GASCO Habshan 5.

“With this contract, we expand our oil and gas business in such a valuable market and consolidate an already strong track record, built on world class project management skills,” added Folgiero. “This project confirms our strategy of pursuing EPC business in selective, well known geographies.”
