US Company AquaMost has today revealed a new reactor for chemical free oil and gas water treatment.

Named the SX Reactor, the Wisconsin-based company said in a statement that the reactor is capable of killing multiple bacteria types and boasts low energy consumption.

The system has already been deployed in multiple sites across the US states of Texas, Colorado and Utah, the company said.

Tom Asmuth, CEO of AquaMost, explained more about the system saying: “This is a chemical-free biocide that can handle different water types and flow rates with little or no operator interaction. We are consistently outperforming chemical-based treatment trains and operators have stated our system is easier to use in the field and takes less of their time” he added.

The company is starting to ship the system with numerous E&P companies scheduling installations on the system between the fall and spring of next year.
