US-based provider of technology for wastewater, stormwater, and water treatment industries Scienco has released a new tool for safely producing liquid chlorine for onsite applications.

 

The SciCHLOR sodium hypochlorite generator with SciCELL technology a cost effective and reliable method of safely producing liquid chlorine for onsite disinfection, the company says.

 

The electrolytic sodium hypochlorite solution combines salt, water, and electricity: (NaCl + H(2)O + 2e = NaOCl + H(2).

 

The technology is designed for disinfecting and bleaching applications. The science behind the SciCHLOR is the SciCELL unit which allows the system to: run at optimum efficiency; reduce power; increase power efficiency; extend cell life; power-save shut down if no usage of sodium hypochlorite; and multi-pass scouring with the cell design.

 

Each compact SciCHLOR comes with an integral brine tank, SciCELL unit, control panel, and recirculation pump.

 

The tool is available in sizes ranging from 4.5 kg of hypochlorite per day up to 27 kg of hypochlorite per day.
