Nikhil Shah, co-founder S-CUBE

Former University of Cambridge graduate, Dr. Nikhil Shah cofounder of S-CUBE a technology company evolved from Imperial College London focused on developing seismic imaging data processing techniques for clearer and deeper images of the subsurface.

S-CUBE technology develops new computer codes for the petroleum exploration and production industry and their take up has been immediate for explorers seeking superior discovery rates.

"Where current technology is not good enough, new start-ups can pick up with novel algorithmic breakthroughs that can optimise processes in the most the capital intensive industries in the world” Shah said.

Started in 2017, S-CUBE is now moving its software to the cloud where it can tackle the largest scale jobs for any of its customers.

Son of 2017 Asian Hotelier of the Year award, Koolesh Shah, Nikhil read Mathematics at the University of Cambridge before undertaking a PhD at Imperial College London (Earth Science & Engineering) under Professor Mike Warner backed by major petroleum companies including Chevron and BP.

The S-CUBE team are due to present at the EAGE Conference and Exhibition in Copenhagen on June 12th 2018.
