FMC Technologies awarded contract for subsea manifolds for Petrobras' pre-salt fields

Subsea manifolds from FMC service pre-salt E&P in Brazil
The manifold systems are rated for water depths up to 10,000 feet and 15K psi working pressures

Petrobras has awarded US-based FMC Technologies a contract worth as much as USD 650m for the supply of subsea manifolds for the development of its pre-salt fields.

The initial order from the agreement includes 11 manifolds, tools and controls. FMC may deliver a total of up to 16 subsea manifolds. The equipment will be engineered and manufactured in Brazil with delivery scheduled to begin in 2015.

FMC Technologies’ manifold systems are available in sizes from 6” to 30” diameters and offer multi-phase flow meters. The systems are rated for water depths up to 10,000 feet and 15K psi working pressures and are designed to work in temperatures up to approximately 175oC.

"This is the fourth award that FMC Technologies has received from Petrobras for its pre-salt fields," said Tore Halvorsen, FMC Technologies' senior vice president, Subsea Technologies. "We have made significant investments in our Brazilian operations to meet Petrobras' needs and to provide greater local content in relation to these projects."
