Bonatti Group has been awarded an electrical and instrumentation contract for the development of Zhor, the supergiant gas field discovered in 2015 in Egyptian offshore.

Bonatti logistic hub, Santiago de Queretaro – Guanajuato, Mexico

The scope of work is focused on onshore area and includes the key services, materials and equipment required for the safe installation of the project’s onshore electrical, cable, instrumentation, telecommunication and fire and gas equipment.

Such acquisition follows the one awarded by Bechtel to Bonatti’s subsidiary Carlo Gavazzi Egypt in July and confirms the capabilities and the strategic role of the company in the North-African area. Bonatti Group has a longstanding presence in the country Egypt, with a qualified network of manpower (99% Egyptian nationality) that has worked on projects in the country for decades.

Bonatti moreover inaugurated a new logistics hub that will serve all the company's business in Mexico. It is located a few miles from Santiago de Queretaro, in Guanajuato state. Bonatti's investment for the realization of the building amounts to $ 4 million. It has area of 75,000 square meters and 4,500 are destined for offices and warehouses.

Initially 80 people will work in the hub with a perspective of an expansion by 2020 of 200 employees. The hub rises near Tula - Villa de Reyes gas pipeline and will become the logistic coordination center of all operations, a reference area for prefabrication activities as well as for storage and maintenance of the assets. The hub will support in managing the projects in central Mexico.
