The conference is expected to attract 100 local and international oil and gas professionals to discuss offshore Arctic activities

The Arctic Region Oil and Gas Conference returns for its second edition on 26 – 27 February 2013 at the Clarion Hotel in Stavanger, Norway.

Key conference topics include: key drivers for a successful Arctic project; operational case studies from Arctic Russia, Norway and Canada; climate change issues and the effect on offshore project developments; economic challenges of developing Arctic projects.

The conference is expected to attract 100 local and international oil and gas professionals to discuss offshore Arctic activities, including oil and gas companies investing over USD10 bn worth of projects in the Arctic to extract and transport offshore natural gas.

Bill Scott, General Manager, Chevron Arctic Center, Chevron Canada leads the Conference Committee which will steer the business programme to reflect topical issues and developments relevant to the industry and region.

Knut Ørbeck‐Nilssen, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, DNV ; John Bartos, Vice President Development and Technology, Cameron; Leonid Surguchev, CEO, LUKOIL Overseas North Shelf ; among other industry leaders will join the senior-level speaker line-up.

In his official welcome, Bill Scott states: “A goal that I set for this conference was to attempt to identify many of the key drivers associated with generating a successful Arctic project through a combination of topical presentations but, perhaps more importantly, providing a venue for your engagement with key globally experienced Arctic Subject Matter Experts”.
