As part of the four-year framework agreement, one of the most significant in the brand’s history, Autronica will provide Autro Safe fire and gas detection systems to Statoil’s offshore installations in the oil field.

The agreement includes options for two plus two years and for supplying systems to the nearby Johan Castberg, Peregrino and Snorre fields. Installation of the detection systems, which will be developed and manufactured by Autronica in Norway, will begin in early 2016.

“We are thrilled to play an important role in protecting Statoil’s operations in one of the North Sea’s largest oil fields,” said Frode Lund, managing director, Autronica. “This high-profile win confirms Autronica’s position as a long-term and reliable partner in the oil and gas segment around the world.”
