Rosneft continues push for cleaner fuels at Ryazan refinery

Production of new fuel type is a result of Rosneft’s large-scale programme of refineries modernisation. By implementing new technology, Rosneft hopes to lower the presence of substances that damage the environment – sulphur, benzene, aromatic and unsaturated hydrocarbons - in gasoline.

The modernisation of Ryazan refining company started in 2008.

It is planned that by 2015 100 per cent of diesel fuels will correspond with Euro-5, and in 2016 all benzenes of Ryazan refining company will be of Euro-5 class.
