Engineers India Limited (EIL) has signed a contract with Dangote Oil Refining Company for the mega refinery and petrochemical plant project in Nigeria

The contract, worth USD 139m, was signed on 2 June 2014

EIL has formally entered into a contract with Dangote Oil Refining Company of Nigeria to render project management consultancy and engineering, procurement and construction management  services for implementing a grassroot 400,000 barrels per day petroleum refinery and 600,000 tonne per annum polypropylene plant in the Lekki Free Trade Zone near Lagos.

The contract, worth USD 139m, was signed on 2 June 2014. This will be the largest ever single consultancy assignment for EIL.

The main facilities of the project comprise of crude distillation unit, residue fluid catalytic cracking unit, diesel hydro-treating unit, continuous catalyst regeneration unit, alkylation unit and a polypropylene unit, as well as utilities and offsites including captive power with other enabling infrastructure facilities.

The crude and product handing facilities through Single Point Mooring (SPM) would also be integrated with the refinery.
