Leistritz opens up a new subsidiary in India

Leistritz India Private Limited was founded as a joint venture between Leistritz AG, Nuremberg/Germany and their long-term sales agency Carmel Engineers Pvt. Ltd.

Leistrizt has opened a new subsidiary in India

The well-known German manufacturer of screw pumps and systems Leistritz announced the grand opening of their first Indian subsidiary Leistritz India Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, India. “With this move we are able to serve the Indian subcontinent in a more concise and universal way,” Christoph Böhnisch, Managing Director at Leistritz Pump Technology headquarters in Germany states proudly. “Our pumps are in high demand all over the world, India in particular has been a growth market for many years and we have decided to intensify our activities,” he continues. Peter Vimal Kumar, Managing Director at Carmel Engineers, who will be the head of Leistritz India adds: “After 20 years of successful business in our partnership, we are proud to be in this joint venture with Leistritz. We think it is time to go one step further and not just do sales, but also have a service location and do local sourcing in India.”

 

Successful business for 20 years
Leistritz has sold quite some pumps over the years in various projects into various industries such as the chemical industry, power generation and the oil and gas industry. Just recently a large order was handled with 13 L3MG pumps which convey lube oil for the lubrication of turbines in the field of power generation for one of the leading Indian energy suppliers. They are equipped with high-tech pilot operated safety valves to ensure optimum performance.
