Singapore hashes two FPSO contracts with Petrobras

Each FPSO will have a production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day

Oil and gas tech firm Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M) will install topside modules on two Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSO) to be operated by Petrobras, the Singapore-based firm announced on Friday.

The Brazilian subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), Keppel FELS Brasil S.A. has inked two contracts worth a total of approximately USD 950m from the Petrobras-led consortiums, Guara BV and Tupi BV.
Keppel will construct and integrate topside modules on two FPSO’s, P-66 and P-69, at its BrasFELS shipyard in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro.

P-66 will be deployed to the Guara field while P-69 to the Tupi field offshore Brazil. Each FPSO will have a production capacity of 150,000 barrels of oil per day.

The contract follows a series which have brought both firms increasingly closer. Keppel on Monday hashed a USD 4.1bn deal to build five semisubmersible offshore drilling rigs for the Brazilian oil giant.
